An essential follow for UK vegans, there are endless products out there that are accidentally vegan and this account saves us checking the ingredients at the checkout.


Those Vegan Guys - vegan YouTubers

These two down-to-earth UK vegans do it all. The pair are most widely known as YouTubers, showcasing vegan recipes and live cook-alongs, they also give tutorials for vegans who want to grow their own fruit and vegetables, giving tips on how to be vegan on a budget and are activists. These are two UK vegan influencers we love following.

One of our favourite vegan chefs, her Instagram showcases simply gorgeous looking food that she creates along with providing some of her recipes to cook at home too. Another UK vegan influencer that’s great to follow.


Matthew Pritchard – ‘Dirty Vegan Chef’ 

You may know Matthew or ‘Pritch’ from Dirty Sanchez, the British prank show, but along with being famous for his time on the tongue-in-cheek stunt TV show, he is also a famous british vegan chef renowned for creating uncomplicated, honest and seriously tasty food.


Earthling Ed – vegan activist

Ed Winters, or Earthling Ed, is one of the UK’s most famous vegan activists. He has often spoken at schools and universities to promote veganism and is most well known for his peaceful, articulate and concise approach towards vegan activism. His book Vegan Propaganda is definitely worth a read too.


Thandiwe Newton – vegan actress

Voted PETA’s ‘Sexiest Vegan’ in 2014, Thandiwe who was inspired by Woody Harrelson to go vegan, uses her celebrity voice to promote the vegan cause. We certainly need more celebrities to spread the word and she is the epitome when it comes to famous British vegans.


Dale Vince OBE – vegan environmentalist

Not only is Dale vegan, but he is also a British "green energy" industrialist and founder of Ecotricity, the only vegan electricity company in existence and owner of Forest Green Rovers football club, the only vegan club in the world. As one the UK’s most vocal environmentalists, he is always pushing boundaries to make the planet a better place. One of the Zero Carbonista’s latest endeavours is Sky Diamond, diamonds produced by extracting carbon from the air. His book Manifesto: How a maverick entrepreneur took on British energy and won is an inspiring read.
