Döner Summer

Döner Summer located at YES on Charles Street (just off Oxford Road) are surely the undisputed kings of the vegan kebab. Delicious, messy, colourful trays and flatbread are served up while you grab a drink at YES bar. Their summer menu also has burgers, gyros and possibly the best vegan fried chick'n in the city. 

 

What the Pitta 

What the Pitta, are the perfect place to satisfy your kebab cravings. Their döner mezze boxes, snack boxes and wraps starting at £7.45 contain large portions that don't feel too heavy thanks to their delicious soya döner vegan kebab meat which is much lighter than seitan alternatives. PANC

PANC, based in the Arndale Market, has a vegan kebab on their extensive menu. For £12 you can order "Shawarma kebab on a naan, topped with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, chillies, PANC garlic sauce and guindilla peppers." Their menu also consists of burgers, vegan hot dogs, loaded fries, fried chick'n and lots of dessert options! Available on Deliveroo.

 

Döner Haus

Döner Haus offer authentic Berlin kebabs and currywurst from their restaurant in the Manchester Corn Exchange. They are vegan-friendly, and their options include a vegan schnitzel kebap, a vegan gemüse kebap with seitan shawarma; they also have veganwurst with fries and sauerkraut on the menu. Prices start from £9.

 

Bab

Bab, located on Little Lever Street in the Northern Quarter, serves unique kebabs and mezze made from locally sourced ingredients. They invite diners to "watch our team of creative chefs make our entire menu, including fresh flatbreads, from scratch, in our open theatre-style kitchen." Their vegan option is a mouthwatering broccoli alternative with hummus, sunblush tomatoes, pistachio dukkah and harissa purée, a refreshing change from seitan dishes, for just £10.
